HealthTech HotSpot Editorial Guidelines
HealthTech HotSpot welcomes content submissions on a wide range of topics pertaining to healthcare technology from vendors, clinicians, medical staff and other members of the healthcare technology community.
Submission Process
Authors are encouraged to submit a brief outline for review prior to article submission. We will respond to all inquiries within 10 days and after submission notify you of article acceptance and posting date. Please email proposals directly to: Press@HealthTechHotSpot.com with full contact information for the author or submission coordinator.
Content Accepted:
- Features and thought leadership articles focused on current and emerging trends, new technologies, industry issues, professional viewpoints and use cases.
- Self-produced videos of 10 minutes or less in length on these same topics.
- Thought leadership blogs that have appeared only on your organization’s website.
- Research reports and surveys.
Length and Style
Articles should be a minimum of 650 and up to 2,000 words in length. Authors bylines with corporate or health-related affiliation and relevant professional credentials will appear. Articles also will be accompanied by a brief author biography (below). Manuscripts should follow The New York Times journalism style. Add AMA-style footnotes as required.
While efforts should be made to refer to technology in a generic form, occasional company or product mention is acceptable. All submissions will be copyedited for consistency with HealthTech HotSpot style and to avoid overt promotional themes. Edited articles may be returned to authors prior to publication for fact checking, as desired.
Research reports and surveys have no length restrictions. Also include either a biographical sketch of the researcher or author, as above, or a 75-word description of the issuing organization.
Biographies, Corporate Description
In addition to above byline information, (current corporate or health-related affiliation, title, and relevant professional or healthcare-related credentials) author biographical sketches should include educational background, relevant career and research background and contact websites and email. Bios should not exceed 75 words. Author emails will appear in bios to facilitate reader dialog, unless otherwise requested.
Illustrations
Original illustrations, charts and graphs accompanying submissions are encouraged and should be sent as separate files in standard graphic format at approximately 1920×1080 px or slightly smaller in similar proportions. Authors must have full rights to use submitted visuals. Please include credit lines and captions.
Promotional Opportunities
Published articles may be posted to the author’s corporate or health organization websites as well as other web outlets, with a link for credit to www.healthtechhotspot.com and the HealthTech HotSpot logo. Authors are encouraged to post their content to social media with a similar HealthTech Hotspot credit. Various logos and related visuals for these postings will be available for download on our website shortly.
HealthTech HotSpot may, at our discretion or via other arrangement, promote bylined content on major social media channels, making this an excellent promotional opportunity for authors and their organizations.
